From the moment you step into our spacious holiday barn we want to make sure you will feel relaxed and ready to enjoy a break. The contemporary interior of our sympathetically renovated 17th century barn has been designed to ensure our visitors have everything they need to enjoy time with friends and family. It’s open plan, so there’s space for 16 people to gather and socialise, but plenty of places to break off into smaller groups… Underfloor heating throughout and a cosy wood burner ensure you’ll stay snug even if you visit in the depths of winter.
The entrance boasts a double-height feature window which floods the hallway with light. Nearby seating is always a popular spot for an early riser to enjoy a cup of coffee in the peace of the morning. Guests will find a large open plan kitchen and dining area, perfect for sociable mealtimes, and the nominated chef in your party will find everything they need to whip up their signature dish with ease. The dining table comfortably seats 13, so that everyone can sit down to recount the day’s adventures and make plans for how to spend the next. There’s even a snug area just off the kitchen which is ideal for guests to sit, relax and enjoy a glass of wine before the food is served.
After dinner head to the comfortable living room, complete with double-sided log burner and a Smart TV. Netflix and fast, free Wi-Fi mean you can relax with the latest box sets or watch a classic movie. If you’re feeling a little more energetic, why not get the competition started in the mezzanine area? There you’ll find pool, air hockey and table tennis tables as well as an activities space and range of classic board games. Or, step outside to enjoy a sundowner and a soak in the hot tub…
When it’s time for bed, choose from one of 6 cosy rooms to recharge your batteries. There are 4 large bedrooms with king size beds and en suite bathrooms. A further king size bedroom and triple bedroom are located on the ground floor and share a large bathroom between them. All our bedrooms are made up with luxury bed linen and towels so you can leave the washing to someone else when you leave. They are all lockable for privacy, so if you really do not want to be disturbed, just turn that key…
We want to ensure total relaxation when you stay at Bowland Barn, so a dishwasher means there’s no need to scrub dishes, and a washer and dryer for guest use means you can freshen up clothes after an outdoor adventure. We’ve ensured the barn is eco-friendly by installing a biomass boiler and solar panels to limit our use of grid electricity and gas.
